We never make any bucket lists of places to visit or things to do because every experience every time is a different moment that goes down in memories etching a completely different story. We are two adventurous souls with a penchant for chasing light. We prefer to run away from the concrete jungle and embark on a journey that takes us through paths that speak to our heart. From chasing the light between sunrise and sunset to sitting patiently watching birds or animals or kayaking lakes and lagoons to hiking through the redwoods or grand sandy deserts, we can be found. We dream of being in every corner of the world, over and over again. Wanderlust is our middle name and that is one thing that makes us like to travel the way we do. Every time we find a challenge in this path, we know that we chose to take that path in the first place.
We call ourselves world citizens but currently live in Chicago, USA where we have full time corporate jobs.

Shay is a statistician data scientist by profession and a hobbyist artist and calligrapher. When she is not traveling, planning trips or writing here, she is busy crunching numbers and creating mathematical models for fraud detection and various artificial intelligent systems. She can also be found with her brush dreaming up landscapes in oil and watercolor or a dip pen practicing copperplate or blackletter script. She also loves learning about tribal art from the various states of India. She is an avid reader too and tries to read the international Booker shortlist every year.

Rahul is a mechanical engineer who is captivated with how machines work and designs big sized plants which do food grade purification. He is also the main photographer behind this website. He started off with landscape photography back in 2005 and has in the past 5 years picked up wildlife photography. All photographs here are taken by him. When he is not making machines roll or shooting the sun or animals, he can be found in the garage woodworking. He started a couple of years back making furniture for family and friends, but now is open to finding other homes for his work.
Shay and Rahul are both huge birdwatchers as well and contribute to ebird on a regular basis whether they are out on a stroll in the nearby nature reserves or have traveled far to experience aves interaction.
