My Friend Peat

My Friend Peat is a smoky Scotch cocktail inspired by the Final Ward, itself a rye-whiskey variation on the Last Word. This original interpretation replaces rye with Laphroaig 10 Year Old Islay single malt Scotch whisky, combining its peat smoke and maritime character with Yellow Chartreuse, Luxardo maraschino liqueur and fresh lemon juice. Served in a chilled Nick and Nora glass, the drink is paired with Zotter Salted Caramel chocolate, whose caramel, almond praline, dark chocolate and salt complement the whisky’s smoke and subtle sweetness.
